Something to work for...

I have successfully made it to Santa Monica but unfortunately I dragged this nagging case of bronchitis and a sneaky sinus infection along with me. So much for getting on the bike this weekend. Well, it is quite a bit better, so maybe by Sunday I can go for a nice, EASY spin.

I have also decided to go ahead and give the track thing a solid try. I contacted my old coach Adam Duvendeck today about working with me on the track. He has already set me up on a fast track to fitness through the rest of July and I can't say its going to be easy. The goal is to break my body down to whip it back into shape, but I need to make sure I am healthy first so it can handle it. If I dont get rid of this respiratory crap first I will never be able to push myself at the track. I am already dreading the famous "track hack" and cant imagine that on top of bronchitis. Rest and Sudafed will be my best friends this weekend.

If anyone can push me to work my hardest it will be Adam. I look forward to training hard again and setting goals through these next three months. This will only be my second year on the track, so I really have no idea what I can expect.
